Ajarn Pai Lin, my Thai co-teacher, suggested that I try a restaurant that is a short 5 minute walk from where I live. My culinary adventures have improved since I’ve been working with her this semester. She tells me the ingredients of dishes, and the Food Department gives me student-made food gifts.
Brent and I tried this place she suggested for dinner. I have no idea of the name of it, because the sign is in Thai, but if you were to ever visit me I would know exactly where to go. This restaurant luckily had a menu in English. And even if they didn’t, the restaurant was uniquely set up so that you could see all the ingredients and watch the chefs cook.
I particularly like this photo. If you look closely, you can see the range of workers’ personalities all framed by the ingredients of the day.
